Objectives
This program will review the associated epidemiology, risk factors,
anatomy, pathophysiology, stroke syndromes, clinical care and highlight recently
identified best practices of stroke care. Upon completion of this course the
participant will be able to:
- describe current stroke epidemiology
- describe current advances in regards to stroke care
- define the updated definition of Transient Ischemic Attack (TEA).
- appreciate the urgency of what has been defined as "mild stroke symptoms."
- assess resources beyond the 3 hour window
