Objectives
This program will review the associated epidemiology, risk factors,
anatomy, pathophysiology, stroke syndromes, clinical care and highlight recently
identified best practices of stroke care. Upon completion of this course the
participant will be able to:
- Describe the five warning signs of stroke.
- Discuss modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors associated with stroke primary and secondary stroke prevention.
- Describe the pathophysiological mechanism of stroke in the presence of acute ischemic stroke.
- Describe three clinical diagnosis most commonly seen to mimic the acute stroke.
